Fabienne Viala to Step Down as Chair and CEO of Bouygues UK

Bouygues Construction has today announced that Fabienne Viala, after 8 years of dedicated service as Chair and CEO of Bouygues UK, will be stepping down to embark on the next chapter of her career. 

Pierre-Eric Saint-André, Bouygues Construction’s Deputy Chief Executive Officer, expressed his thanks to Fabienne:

Over the last eight years, Fabienne has led Bouygues UK with resilience, passion, and tenacity. Championing sustainable construction and fostering diversity and inclusion, Fabienne has transformed Bouygues UK and positioned it as a leading construction and property development company in the United Kingdom, leaving a lasting impact.

Fabienne commented:

Leading Bouygues UK has been an immense honour. I thank my talented and dedicated colleagues for their invaluable support and wish the company every success.

Fabienne’s leadership has seen Bouygues UK deliver over 80 projects. A few iconic projects include the spark building at Cardiff Innovation Campus, the impressive Ray Dolby Centre at the heart of the University’s Cambridge West Innovation District, the Grafton Way building at UCLH as well as data centres and ambitious regeneration schemes like Hallsville Quarter in Canning Town. 

As Fabienne steps down, Bouygues UK is pleased to announce the appointment of Philippe Bernard as Chair and CEO of Bouygues UK in the new year. Philippe brings 30 years’ experience within the Bouygues Group in several leadership roles. He will work closely with Fabienne to ensure a smooth transition.
