Construction milestone reached as Bouygues UK tops out Manhattan Loft Gardens
Bouygues UK, one of the country’s leading construction companies, has celebrated reaching full structural height at Manhattan Loft Gardens, one of London’s tallest new buildings, at a ceremony held on the 42nd floor.
Developed by Manhattan Loft Corporation, the 143-metre double-cantilevered tower with 248 residences, three sky gardens, two restaurants, two bars and a boutique hotel, is located in Stratford, East London, and is set to complete in spring 2018. Bouygues UK is the main contractor for the development, with VSL, a fellow Bouygues Construction Group company and a leader in post-tensioning and cable-stay systems, also active on the project.
Commenting on the topping out, Fabienne Viala, Chair of Bouygues UK, said: “Reaching this milestone on such an ambitious development is a significant achievement, highlighting our technical expertise and the benefits of our collaborative approach with other Bouygues Group companies. We look forward to continuing to work with Manhattan Loft Corporation as we bring this exciting project to life.”
