Adding Social Value Through Festive Community Initiatives
As the year draws to a close, Bouygues UK is reflecting on the incredible efforts and achievements our team has made in adding social value this festive season. Our dedicated teams have gone above and beyond to bring joy and support to those in need within our communities. Here are some of the highlights.
Our Oriel project team gathered a collection of essential items for the women at the Single Homeless Project on St. Pancras Way. This included workwear to help them feel prepared for job interviews and new opportunities, as well as warm winter clothing. Additionally, we donated Christmas hampers filled with festive treats and essentials to bring some holiday cheer. We also collected food for the Trussell Trust to support those in need.
Festive fun was had at St John’s School where Bouygues UK donated a Christmas tree, decorations, and chocolate advent calendars. The team recounted that seeing the students’ excitement at these donations was truly heart-warming.
At Tustin Estate, the social value team held a Christmas party for local residents. In addition to this and in collaboration with Chaplains Panto Company, Bouygues UK organised two performances of a Christmas pantomime for the Tustin Estate community. The matinee was for Pilgrims’ Way Primary School in the afternoon and another show was put on for residents in the evening. For many children, this was their first experience of a pantomime play.
Here’s what some of the residents had to say:
I just wanted to take a moment to express how much my family and I enjoyed the performance of Beauty and the Beast. My kids absolutely loved it, and we were all so impressed by the production. Thank you for bringing this magical experience.”

We loved the performance of Beauty and the Beast. It was thoroughly enjoyable and the kids were extremely happy throughout. My daughter is quite new to Pilgrims Way School and she made new friends whilst watching the pantomime tonight. It’s a great way to connect with all the parents, children, and families as a whole and made us feel at home. Thank you very much for organizing.– Angelina, resident
Our sites across the city and head office teams actively supported HandsOn London’s Wrap Up London campaign. At our head office alone, 20 coats were donated, with many more collected on our sites. Now in its 14th year, WrapUp London has become one of the largest winter volunteering events in the city, demonstrating the power of community in helping those most in need.
For the third consecutive year, Bouygues UK partnered with Peabody to donate Christmas hampers to residents at Wornington Green. Five volunteers from our head office packed and delivered the hampers, spreading festive cheer and showing our appreciation for the community. Supporting residents in this way helps us understand their challenges and meet their needs.
We are incredibly proud of our social value teams and their dedication to supporting our communities. These initiatives highlight the importance we place on giving back and fostering a spirit of togetherness. From all of us at Bouygues UK, we wish you a happy and peaceful festive season. We look forward to furthering our community work as we move into the new year.
