Enabling Works Commence at Pentre Awel

We have reached a key stage at our Pentre Awel project, with an eight-week enabling-works programme. These pre-construction works will prepare the site in readiness for the main contract to start in the New Year. We’re also rolling out our community engagement plans with residents, schools and colleges, local communities and associated third party stakeholders.

The prestigious and innovative £87m Pentre Awel development is the largest regeneration scheme in South-West Wales. It will bring together life science and business innovation, research, education, community healthcare and modern leisure facilities at the 83-acre Delta Lakes site on the Llanelli coastline.

The scheme aims to create around 1,800 jobs over 15 years, boosting the local economy by more than £450 million. The project is being delivered by Carmarthenshire County Council, in partnership with Hywel Dda University Health Board, Universities and Colleges.
