National Apprenticeship Week 2024
It’s National Apprenticeship Week 2024!
At Bouygues UK, our apprentices from across the business are highly valued. They bring so much to our business, and we know that attracting the best talent onto our next generation programmes is the most sustainable way to develop our future business leaders.
To celebrate National Apprenticeship Week this year, we held a breakfast event at our site in Camden where we are building a new eye care, research, and education centre as part of a joint initiative between Moorfields Eye Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, the UCL Institute of Ophthalmology and Moorfields Eye Charity.
This event was designed to give our apprentices from across the London and Southeast a chance to meet each other and connect, share experiences, and hear from: the Senior Office Manager on site at Oriel, Samantha Mayo; Head of Learning & Development, Rastislav Blaha; and our CEO and Chair, Fabienne Viala about their own career journeys.
This breakfast event was a fantastic opportunity to celebrate our apprentices working within Bouygues UK who are undoubtedly the future of our industry. This was clear as they shared their passion for what they do and their commitment to succeeding in their own career paths. In 2024, we look forward to further strengthening the bonds between our apprentices across the UK as we support them throughout their journeys with us.

The theme for this year’s National Apprenticeship Week is ‘skills for life’ and Bouygues UK is proud to run a host of apprenticeship programmes within a range of departments, setting our apprentices up with the competences they will need for a long and prosperous career. These programmes have been designed to equip, empower, and enable our new wave of talent to secure a strong future generation of leaders for the industry.
