King’s College

In 1998 Bouygues was awarded a design and build contract for construction and renovation of two buildings at the heart of this London university.

The two buildings, Hunts House and Cornwall House are both 7 storeys and combined, provide 59,500 square metres of space for medical teaching and medical research.

Hunts House is located on a congested working hospital site and is the smaller of the two buildings at 20,500 square metres and is a medical teaching building used by the university.

Cornwall House which provides teaching facilities and medical research is located on a busy island site near London Waterloo. As part of the development, Bouygues and Bouygues Energies and Services (formerly ETDE) are responsible for design, build and facilities management for 25 years following the construction project.

The architect on this project was: Anshen Dyer.
