This new development for Care UK incorporates the latest innovations in residential care to provide 84 luxury bedrooms together with state-of-the-art facilities. The development provides a high quality environment with a homely atmosphere, enabling people with dementia to stay independent, active and engaged for longer.
The scheme features a shop, hairdressing salon, café and library, all set around a tranquil, indoor village space. Outside, the landscaping is also carefully designed to enhance the residents’ quality of life, offering a communal, sensory and herbal garden with a large water feature. Patio gardens are provided for all ground floor apartments, where residents can tend to flower beds and plant pots, in their own private oasis.
Further design aspects include the installation of photovoltaic solar panels on the roof and a combined heat and power unit, which helped the development to gain BREEAM ‘Very Good’ accreditation.
