Bouygues UK has grown both organically and through the integration of some of the UK’s most respected regional construction companies. We entered the UK construction market in 1997 with a strategy for steady organic growth; this was followed by a number of strategic acquisitions that further enhance our offering to our clients.
Together, we are smart, engaged and intelligent – and because the majority of our people are directly employed, we bring a shared understanding to each project, underpinned by accountability and a focus on meeting, then exceeding the brief.

In 2015, Paul Abson was appointed Deputy Chief Executive of Bouygues UK. Prior to this, Paul was Managing Director of Bouygues UK’s Housing Management Unit.
Paul joined Bouygues UK in 2012, following the acquisition of the Leadbitter Group. Paul was a board director of the Leadbitter Group, since 1995.
Lionel has 24 years experience in the Construction Industry. He joined the Bouygues Group in 1991 as a Design Manager for Bouygues’ subsidiary in Nigeria.
In 2015, Lionel was appointed to the role of Deputy CEO of Bouygues UK, prior to this he was Managing Director of Bouygues UK’s Construction Management Unit. He became Chief Executive Officer in January 2016.
Legal Director, Carole joined the Bouygues Group in 2007 specialising in construction law and arbitration. Carole was appointed Legal Director of Bouygues UK in 2012.
Technical Director of Bouygues UK, Gérald joined the group in 1987 and gained international experience in France and Hong Kong prior to joining Bouygues UK in 2007.
Managing Director of Bouygues Development, Nicolas has been with the group for over 21 years, successfully developing the business in student accommodation and major urban regeneration projects.
Human Resources Director, Martin has been with the Bouygues Group since 1994, holding positions in South Africa, France, Hong Kong and Singapore. He joined Bouygues UK in 2012.
Craig joined Bouygues UK in April 2014 and brings with him over 25 years’ experience of working in the UK construction sector.
Tanya joined Bouygues UK in January 2013. She has over 25 years PR and Communications experience in the construction, development, housing and property sectors.
Arnaud has been with Bouygues UK for the last nine years. He has been working in project management for 22 years in the UK, France, Africa and Italy, in the oil and gas industry for seven years and construction for 15 years.
Colin joined Bouygues UK in 2007. He has over 20 years experience in the construction industry. He has held Executive Board Appointments and has been responsible for Quantity Surveying, Procurement and Legal matters.
